This is my Tribute to TWHL. I've included the wad file and the RMF. so if anyone wants to do anything to, (modify or fixt it) go ahead and do so, I made this for you guys :)
ENJOY!
u didnt mention ur best mate the hunter... dangit man.. we've been awsome friends for... 2 secs. AND YOU DIDNT MENTION ME?!?!?!? *me cries*
Tis a shame some of the maps are not 5 star ones ;)
-Use env_renders in the map vault to cycle between differnt map vault categories.
-Under formus, have some kinda tribute to the moderators, with theire names and maybe avatars displayed.
-Atom's name should be displayed in her someplace
After playing some more, some more misc. comments:
Againe, really sweet map. It sort of reminds me of the jedi archives from Star Wars: Episode II. Also transitions into other areas of the map are very fluid and harmoic. Your style of mapping is clean, visually captivating, and distinctive. Bravo!
*sniff* I never had such a nice comment. I like you ideas of mentioning names and such but i was pushing for low filesize (once again) i guess i could add a few names in there. Like i said before, the wad is there, the rmf is there, i hope someone makes an expansion to this or perhaps cleans it up a bit more. I don't mind the alterations, i look forward to them :)
Perhaps add usernames and avatars of some of the members here like IEMC and Kasperg etc.
When I wake up sometimes, I have these weirdly strong inspirations for maps sometimes, and I had a big one the other day for some sort of virtual twhl environment. (like logging into a server instead of logging on to the website).
With the limitations of how content works, it would probably be really hard or most likely impossible to do something like this, and plus, though checking out forums and maps in a virtual world would be cool, a webapge would most likely be tons more efficent--I can't think of any advantages to a virtual style interface...
Anyway, I envisoined using shootable buttons--much like your 6D too btw!-- to activate individual file cabinets in the map vault, and when you shoot one you get a revolving holo of the map. shooting the holo teleports you to the map, and pretty much the rest of the world would work like this with multiple teleportations and what not.
Anyway, while this idea isn't so feasible, it seemed really fun at the time. If you ever plan on upgrading this map and want some ideas, I have tons of additional ideas for it!
Also btw should totally make a DM for this for Muzza's server!
