The original version of this map is included in Action Half-Life. I decided to make a HLDM version, though, for everyone to enjoy :)
Things to know about this map:
*It includes detail textures (r_detailtextures 1 in console to turn them on), so surfaces look less blurry up close. The effect is really nice, though it can cause a little engine lag on some systems.
*It has a system similar to some stock HLDM maps- you press a button and the central room's doors start closing. You have to be inside when they close or you are killed. A small text readout at the bottom of the screen will warn you, and notify when you are in the safe area.
*It has a game_player_equip starting players with a jump pack and magnum. This is to offset the size of the map, and the fact that the stock pistol is garbage.
*It has custom everything- sounds, textures, sprites, skybox. And yes, those are cinders/sparks shooting out of the flames.
I hope some of you HLDMer's enjoy it.
There is also a 'Director's Cut' of the Action HL version:

I want to say a few words about it . I was really impressed .
First , the light ambience . You surely got the perfect combo ! Those cristals on the walls were a good ideea, instead of putting some torches . It really helps to add that "magic" strange feel . I loved the windows as well as the huge gap in the middle of that temple . The solar rays ( altough not visible from many angles) adds a bit of realism to them . The pleasant blueish theme combines perfectly with the skybox ! It combines really good even with the yellowish theme in the middle of the map . ( I love those blue windows !! ) . It's also a good idea you placed some blue "stars" or what for light . It's much more original than regular lights.
Second , the ambience . Even though the map doesn't lack of it , you could have done much more .... The ambience near the windows are really enjoyable .It's quite odd you even put a sound when using that rope !
The brush detail is fantastic ! Honestly , I can't see anything blocky ! Good job ! I also liked that gun ... well , I think It's the only one in the map if I explored all the map .
Hey , those traps are really funny !!! good job for them too
The texturing was amazing ! Especially by adding detail textures . The texturing combinations are fantastic and it's not boring at all .
Man , I think this map has too much detail =)) . You've seen a plain wall , you thought " hmm ... let's add some plants !" . The plants are really adding detail and atmosphere !
The gameplay must be good . Maybe the best ! ( for this month at least , lol :) )
Can I give you 4 stars ? Of course not ! 5 stars for very good quality !
I must say, this is one heck of a map you got here, I can tell to put a lot of effort in to it. The level design is on par on what you can find in a professionally done, commercial video game, bravo!
Oh by the way, I have been getting some very good comments by visitors to the VRML version of your Revenant map on my website. In fact, just yesterday, I was with 7 other people inside Revenant chatting away for about 2 hours. They were all impressed by your handy work on Revenant. Anyway, good job on the Temple map and keep up the good work.
Texturing 9/10
Architecture 9/10
Effects 6/10
4.5 stars then?
The textures are mostly from Blazeeer, who I think is no longer around in the HL mapping community. I am thinking about hosting them, and those of a couple other mia mappers, when I clean up my website.
